Overview

Assists Shift Manager with work flow and follow up during assigned shift.

 

For candidates based in New York State, this position’s starting hourly range typically pays between $17 - $20.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional attitude and set example for all department members
  • Ensure policy and procedure compliance in a fair and consistent manner
  • Communicate with employees regarding assignments and questions
  • Train new employees
  • Report any issues or concerns to Shift Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated good work performance in current role
  • Ability to “think on your” feet in a fast paced environment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Able to communicate effectively with shift employees and to converse, read and write in English

Qualifications

Must be able to:

  • Operate independently and with minimum supervision
  • Cooperate with management
  • Follow orders and communicate objectives to coworkers
  • Complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Be able to pick bulk - load furniture as well as bulk/pallet deliveries using electric pallet jacks and/or fork lifts as needed
  • Work with Drivers
  • Housekeeping responsibilities - Keep area, neat clean and organized
