About the Opportunity

2025 Spring & Summer Internship Opportunities are now available with our IT Product Management Group!

 

Designed to provide students with exposure to a variety of disciplines within the Systems Development team, the Product Manager – Finance Intern will assist in facilitating code changes to operational systems, while building meaningful work experience.  Assisting as a liaison between the Corporate Finance team and our IT Department, interns will help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions; working to improve business processes through development, implementation and maintenance of business applications systems for our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables and Accounting teams.

 

This is an on-site internship requiring semi-regular commute to either our Boston or Brockton, Massachusetts offices.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Managers & business stakeholders to elicit business & functional requirements, participate in solution definition, adhere to the software development life cycle, and participate in quality assurance & testing of new applications.
  • Support systems development team on analyzing the business and technical processes and/or project objectives to help produce technical and non-technical project deliverables.
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both technical and business settings.
  • Self-motivated, creative, passionate and able to acclimate into a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of Systems Development Life Cycle, Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance and Testing, Requirements Gathering, Project Management, and Systems Analysis and Design
  • Self-directed and independent worker who can also lead cross-functional and cross-organizational projects
  • Familiarity with Relational Design, Object Oriented and Service Oriented Architecture is a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus
  • High-level understanding of financial procedures and terminology is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program for the upcoming semester in a 4-year college or university.
  • Major must be Business/Finance or Technology related
  • Prior experience in an office setting/exposure to Microsoft Office is a plus
