Overview

The Offsite Shipping/Receiving Specialist will work independently at Vendor locations scanning, receiving, and tagging orders for HUB distribution.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and Process orders using handheld device at Vendor locations.
  • Label and/or Tag orders with destination labels.
  • Follow instructed process to meet daily expectations and deadlines.
  • Report daily of process production and issues.
  • Off-load stock merchandise from delivery trailers.
  • Reads customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Drives vehicles (forklift and pallet jack) to transport items within the warehouse.
  • Put stock location away in appropriate place.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read invoices
  • Ability to use handheld scanner
  • Ability to follow written and verbal assembly directions
  • Able to work with little to no direct supervision
  • Ability to communicate professionally and establish working relationship with off-site vendor and staff
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to converse, read & write in English
  • Ability to “think on your” feet in a fast paced environment
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Must have a clean driving record

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED

The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers for data entry. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
