About the Opportunity:

W.B. Mason is seeking a Class of 2025 Accounting Major to join our Staff Accounting team over Summer 2024! Analyzing financial information and preparing account reconciliations & financial reports, the Staff Accountant team helps guide our leadership to navigate complex problems while devising best short and long term strategies to lead W.B. Mason to success each year.  As an intern, you'll support our Accounting team with various projects and month end close responsibilities.

 

This role is located on-site at our Brockton, MA Corporate Headquarters location.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with gathering back-up support and preparing of Journal Entries
  • Help with preparing and validating month end close schedules and analysis
  • Assist in performing account reconciliations
  • Support and participate in various system related projects
  • Assist with research, compilation and analysis of financial and accounting data
  • Participate in other projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good understanding of GAAP
  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A self-starter with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be a Class of 2025 Junior, actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
